Frequently Asked Questions

  • Most of my clients start the session by telling me how much they hate having their photo taken. My whole philosophy is built on "un-posing." I won’t leave you standing there wondering what to do with your hands. We’ll keep moving, talking, and laughing. Usually, within ten minutes, you’ll forget I’m even holding a camera.

  • Wear what makes you feel like the best version of yourself. If you’re uncomfortable in your clothes, it will show in the photos. I recommend neutral tones and avoiding large, distracting logos, but if your "daily uniform" is a vintage band tee and jeans, bring it. We’re capturing you, not a catalog version of you.

  • You’ll receive a link to a private, high-resolution online gallery. From there, you can download all your images, share them with family, or post them directly to social media. You’ll have full personal printing rights, so you can print them wherever you like.

  • I know you're excited to see your moments! For most portrait and headshot sessions, you’ll have your gallery within 1–2 weeks. For "The Foundry Fragment" sessions, I aim for a 3-day turnaround. Weddings take a bit more care, usually 4 weeks, but I always send a "sneak peek" within 48 hours.

  • If we’re shooting outdoors and the weather doesn't cooperate, we have two choices: we can embrace the mood (rain can make for some incredible, raw shots) or we can reschedule for the next available clear day at no extra cost.

  • I’m probably not the right photographer for you if you’re looking for everyone to sit perfectly still and smile at the lens in a studio. My style is documentary and candid. I’m looking for the real interactions—the messy, joyful, and unfiltered stuff.

  • Yes! Especially for weddings. Many photographers book out 18 months in advance, but I save space in my calendar for couples who are planning on a shorter timeline or decided last minute that they want a candid style for their big day. Reach out and check my availability.

  • To lock in your date on my calendar, I require a non-refundable retainer (usually 50% of the session fee). The remaining balance is due on or before the day of our shoot.
